OU reaching for the stars…

After 10 years of flying through space, the spacecraft of the Rosetta mission is close to reaching its final destination – comet 67/P.

KMi honours this Big Day with the production of an augmented reality enhanced film – showcasing how new knowledge media can be used to create new types of learning materials.

The film features Dr. Natalie Starkey of the OU’s Planetary and Space Sciences interacting with the spacecraft and the Philae lander that holds the instruments the OU developed for the mission.

We wish our colleagues of the OU’s Planetary and Space Sciences and all others who contribute to the mission the best of luck for a successful landing on Wednesday, November 12th.

Fingers crossed – this will be an exciting moment in history!
