Fridolin Wild gave the opening keynote to this year’s InternetBeta conference with a talk on ‘Science 2.0’ and the transformational impact of new technology on the way we research in the 21st Century. The presentation was framed by a talk from Jon McLoone from Wolfram Research about their latest project Wolfram Alpha and a talk by the professional blogger Ernst-Jan Pfauth from thenextweb.com. Fridolin’s piece focused on new science support environments and outlined some of the work happening in the open network of excellence for technology enhanced learning STELLAR.
The InternetBeta conference is an interdisciplinary event which brings together academics and business professionals in fields such as information technology, psychology, media, and marketing to discuss recent developments and change of the internet and their implications. The conference took place in Rzeszow, Poland. Fidolin’s talk was simultaneously translated into Polish.
