The SlideWiki project delivered an info day about “Open and Collaborative Tools and Open Courses”, which took place on December 15th in Athens, Greece. The info day was organised by the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA) and the Greek Ministry of Education. The event was attended by more than 100 trainers from higher, secondary and primary education, in addition to EKDDA’s trainers and other public officers. Attendees came from different organisations, several administrative levels and from various regions of Greece.
KMi was represented by Alexander Mikroyannidis, who delivered a talk about the lessons learned from using SlideWiki in different open education case studies. In particular, Alexander presented the pilots of the SlideWiki platform that have been conducted by the Open University, as well as by external partners subcontracted by the Open University. Alexander showcased the methodology, results and lessons learned from these pilots, focusing on the challenges faced by the open education community and how the SlideWiki platform addresses these challenges.
