The 31st edition of the European Conference on Information Retrieval was held in Toulouse, France from the 7th to the 9th of April. This year confirmed ECIR as one of the major conferences in the IR field. The organisers were thrilled about the high number of participants coming not only from European countries but also from USA, China, Mexico, Cuba and many others. In addition to that, 180 papers were submitted, around 190 delegates were present coming from 30 different countries and 3 keynotes speakers were invited.
KMi were also among the participants not only to present their work but also to take notes as they are going to host the 32nd edition of the ECIR conference from 28th to 31st March 2010 at the headquarters of The Open University in Milton Keynes.
